Fire up the barbie — Townsville Brass is running the sausage sizzle at the Townsville SupaCentre on Saturday 27 June! We’ll be set up from 8:00 AM through to around 3:00 PM, serving up snags, smiles, and good vibes to raise funds for our organisation. Swing by while you’re doing your weekend shopping, grab a sausage or two, and support local music in the community. Every snag sold helps us keep rehearsing, performing, and growing the band for players of all ages. Come say hi, grab breakfast or lunch, and help us make it a great day.

All aboard! Brolga Brass is heading to the Townsville Train Park for a Sunday morning of music, mini‑locomotives, and pure train fun! Bring the family, grab a ride on the miniature trains, and enjoy a relaxed outdoor concert as we fill the park with brass band favourites, from Thomas the Tank Engine to Lady Gaga. It’s one of Townsville’s most charming little venues — tiny trains, big vibes, and today Brolga Brass will be bringing the soundtrack. A wonderful way to celebrate the end of the year with our development groups!

This is an event placement for receipt and recording of member deposits.  It helps the Treasurer and your committee keep track of all payments associated with this event.

With the support of the Regional Arts Development Fund, and together with the Best of Brass quintet, Kirwan State High School and Brisbane Brass Specialists, Townsville Brass will be holding a Brass Band Festival. We expect to offer 3 or 4 different levels of workshops to cater for the Brass and Percussion players of North Queensland. Whether you started playing this year (and have a range of at least 6 notes) or have been playing for many years, there is a spot for you.  This is a fantastic opportunity to play together in a non-competitive environment and to be mentored by the members of the Best of Brass quintet.  A variety of workshops will be held at KIRWAN STATE HIGH SCHOOL Campus on Saturday and Sunday morning. On Sunday afternoon, workshop participants will perform in an open-air concert at the Anzac Park Band Rotunda, located on the Strand.  This concert will be open to the public.
